Gundog Training Workshops
This specialized, 6-week workshop teaches positive methods to begin the training for your gun dog to be a working partner in the field. Skills developed include:
- Impulse Control
- Retrieve to Hand
- Directional Casting
- Whistle Signals
- Handler Focus
This workshop is appropriate for all types of gun dogs: spaniels, pointers, and retrievers.
Beginning Gundog Training
— Starting April 13, 2026
Five sessions will be held at TCOTC. A sixth session will take place at off-site at a location to be determined.
Prerequisite: Basic Training or successful skills evaluation
Limit: 8 dogs
Cost: $250 (vouchers not accepted)

Intermediate Gundog Training

Graduates of the beginner class are encouraged to continue their training in the Intermediate Gundog class.
Prerequisite: Beginning Gundog
