Camp K9: Life skills, enrichment, and FUN! for your dog!

Camp K9 @ TCOTC is an individualized, custom day-training program for dogs 5 months and older that combines obedience training with fun enrichment activities to build your dog’s confidence and resilience while establishing positive, desired behaviors. During your dog’s session at Camp, one of our experienced trainers will work one-on-one with you and your dog on the skills you choose. In addition, your dog will participate in fun games and exercises that engage the body and mind. Our trainers incorporate movement puzzles, scent work, agility obstacles and more, all into obedience.

At Camp K9, our trainers work with your dog to build confidence, body awareness, and strength in a safe and developmentally appropriate way. We believe that interspersing fun and enriching activities with skills training helps to build a dog’s confidence, minimizes stress and fatigue, and makes learning more effective and enjoyable.

Camp K9 features:

• Full-day or half-day (AM or PM) options
• Individual training plans – you choose the skills to work on in consultation with our trainers
• Low dog-to-trainer ratio, with no more than 4 dogs per trainer per half day
• Positive-reinforcement based training
• No training prerequisites*
• Progress reports and at-home practice assignments to reinforce learning at home
• Private 30-minute mini-sessions with a trainer (great option for hands-on learning for owners)

*The only requirement is that your dog is comfortable and quiet in a crate while they wait their turn. We require 1-2 onboarding half day sessions to assess your dog’s crate skills in our environment before full approval into our program. Camp K9 is primarily for companion pet dogs, not sport or competition dogs. However, you may choose certain skills with our trainers that can help prepare your dog for competition in sports such as Rally, Agility or Scent Work. Dogs under one year will not be routinely jumping in order to protect their joints. Standard skills include, but are not limited to:

When:  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (and occasional Fridays)
Full day: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Drop off 7:30 – 8:00 am & Pick up 4:30 – 5:00 pm)
Morning session: 7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (Drop off 7:30 – 8a & Pick up 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
Afternoon session: 12:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. (Drop off 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. & Pick up 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.)

Cost: $90 for a full day and $50 for a half day plus sales tax.

Late fee and cancellation fee: To receive a full refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled session. We also have a late pick-up fee. You will be charged $15 for the first 15 minutes you are late and $5 for every 5 minutes you are late after that.
