Tracking Test (TD)

TCOTC is hosting an AKC Tracking Dog (TD) Test on Sunday, October 25. In a tracking test, a dog is evaluated on its ability to track a scent laid by a human tracklayer. To be successful, the dog must follow the human’s scent for 400-500 yards, including several changes in direction, and recover a scented article at the end of the track.

This year’s Tracking Test is taking place at Mississippi West Regional Park in Ramsey, MN. Entries are limited to 8 tracks. Download the premium list and entry form below.

Tracking tests require the assistance of many volunteers to be successful. If you would like to volunteer, contact Anne Schenk at anneschenk@tcotc.com. Volunteers need to be available on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25.

Entries Open: September 1
Entries Close: October 15. If more than 8 entries are received, a drawing will be held on October 16.
