Agility Seminars with Kelsey Kirkpatrick

Join us for a series of agility seminars with Kelsey Kirkpatrick!

In lieu of our January agility trial, TCOTC is hosting this opportunity to learn and build skills in agility with Kelsey Kirkpatrick, a seasoned instructor and handler with 23 years of agility experience. Working spots are $140 and audit spots are $25. Friday, January 3:

• 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Foundation Skills for Pre-Novice Dogs: Dogs must be at least 6 months old; jumps and tunnels only; jumps do not need to be at full height.

Saturday, January 4:

• 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Novice Dog with Experienced Handler: Short sequences for dogs at novice level or getting ready to trial; jumps and tunnels only; jumps do not need to be at full height.
• 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Novice Dog with First-Time Handler: Short sequences for dogs at novice level or getting ready to trial; specifically for handlers with their first agility dog or for whom agility is still fairly new

Sunday, January 5:

• 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.: NEW! Winning Weaves: Strengthen your dog’s weave pole performance. Mastering difficult weave entries, building independence/distance, solving popping-out issues, or simply getting started in the weaves: whatever your challenges are, this seminar will give you the tools to address them.
• 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Intermediate and Advanced: Dogs at intermediate and advanced level. Jumps, tunnels, weaves, and contacts may be used.

About Kelsey Kirkpatrick: Kelsey has been doing agility for 23 years. She teaches classes weekly and teaches online students. She is a 5-time National Champion with 3 different dogs and a 37-time regional champion with 4 different dogs. She’s a 5-time World Team Member. Her 3 year old, Wow!, has been on the AWC short list the last two years. She was a team finalist at the European Open. EO she placed 16th out of 350 dogs in Team jumpers. Won Team Jumping at IFCS Worlds. She has also won every class at USDAA Nationals beside team (3rd). She’s a 4-time UKI Classic winner. Her students have made multiple trips to the podiums at AWC World Team Tryouts, US Open and Cynosport. Her students have also joined multiple world teams including AWC, EO and IFCS. Kelsey is big into getting tight lines and getting the most speed she can out of her and her students’ dogs. She also believes that agility is not a one size fits all. She believes in working with the dog that you have in front of you.
