SATURDAY, MARCH 7
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Foundations for Sport-Curious Dogs
Ever wondered if your dog might enjoy agility, obedience, flyball, or nose work but are not sure how to begin? This 3-hour, hands-on Sweaty Paws canine fitness seminar is a welcoming way to explore what dog sports can look like. You will work with your dog on simple, confidence-building exercises using easy, dog-friendly props and learn how these skills connect to many different sports. This session is designed to help dogs feel comfortable trying new things and to help owners discover just how much more their dogs can do beyond sit, down, and daily walks.
Who This Seminar Is For:
- Owners curious about dog sports
- Dogs new to fitness style exercises
- Puppies at least 6 months old who have completed at least one puppy manners class
- Adult and senior dogs healthy for light to moderate activity
No previous sport or fitness experience is required.

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Fitness for Sport Dogs
We ask a lot of our dogs when they train and compete. Fitness is how we help them stay strong, confident, and ready to do their best.
This 3-hour, hands-on Sweaty Paws canine fitness seminar is designed for teams who are already training or competing in sports such as agility, obedience, flyball, or similar activities and want to support their dogs in a proactive way.
You will work with your dog on targeted exercises that focus on strength, proprioception, and comfortable range of motion. We will also cover practical warm up and cool down ideas that can be easily added before and after training or competition days. The goal is to help dogs move better, recover more easily, and stay strong as training demands increase.
Who This Seminar Is For
- Owners with dogs currently training or competing in a sport
- Dogs with basic sport foundations already in place
- Teams looking to add structured fitness to their routine
- Adult and senior dogs who are healthy and cleared for sport activity
Dogs should be comfortable working in a group environment. Previous sport experience is recommended, but no prior fitness training is required.
Ten working spots available (no refunds unless we can fill your spot); 25 audit spots available.

SUNDAY, MARCH 8
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon: Wellness Play
This is the session that fills every year because it is simply a lot of fun. Less lecture, more movement, and plenty of opportunities for dogs and handlers to play, think, and work together.
This Sweaty Paws seminar is built around multiple stations designed to challenge dogs both physically and mentally in a supportive, upbeat environment. Expect a bit of controlled chaos, lots of variety, and plenty of chances for dogs to try new things while staying engaged and successful. You and your dog will rotate through stations focused on movement, problem solving, and confidence, with guidance and coaching along the way, and you will leave with practical ideas you can use at home to continue building your dog’s physical strength and mental engagement.
Dogs and handlers typically leave this session happily tired, mentally satisfied, and feeling accomplished.
Who This Seminar Is For:
- Dogs comfortable working around other dogs and with basic sport foundations in place
- Healthy dogs over one year of age
- Teams looking to build confidence through play and variety
- Owners who want a fun, active working session with their dog

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Design Your Dog’s Workout
This is a new offering and is designed to take the guesswork out of canine fitness. If you have ever wondered what exercises to do, how often to do them, or how to put everything together into a simple routine, this session is for you.
In this hands-on Sweaty Paws seminar, you will learn how to build a daily or weekly workout that works for your dog, your space, and your schedule. You will be shown a variety of exercises to choose from that focus on strength, flexibility, and range of motion for the front legs, core, and back legs.
You and your dog will practice selected exercises and receive coaching on form, training tips, number of repetitions, and appropriate session length. You will be encouraged to choose exercises your dog enjoys and that fit the space and equipment you have at home, making fitness something you can realistically maintain.

- Owners who want a clear, practical approach to canine fitness
- Dogs with some prior dog training or fitness experience
- Healthy dogs over one year of age
- Dogs comfortable working in a group environment
