Treibball
Treibball (also known as Urban Herding) is a fun, safe and challenging sport for dogs and their handlers. The goal is for the person and the dog to work as a team. The handler directs the dog from a distance around a set of balls to push them into a goal one by one. In competition the dog’s work is timed. Distance, time, and the number of balls are some of the variables in the game.
The Foundations 1 class is taught with a focus on the skills needed to achieve the National Association of Treibball Enthusiasts (NATE) skills evaluation certificates and from there compete in NATE titling games (virtual or live). In Foundations we will be working on the three most important skills to be successful in Treibball: PUSH, SEND, and DIRECTIONAL CUES. Treibball is a low impact sport suitable to all types of dogs.
