Puppy Socialization

We recommend starting Puppy Socialization as soon as you bring your puppy home. These classes are for younger puppies, starting the class at 12 weeks of age or younger, and cover basic socialization including age appropriate play with other puppies, housetraining, walking on a leash, basic grooming, and coming when called. Common problems such as chewing, jumping, digging, and barking also will be addressed. This class meets 1 hour per week for 4 weeks. Registration is not required for Puppy Socialization. Simply purchase a Puppy/Tweeners Class pass. This entitles you to 4 sessions of Puppy Socialization. Please note our allowed training gear.

What to bring: Small training treats, 6-ft leash, collar, water bowl, treat pouch (optional). May be purchased at TCOTC.

I just bought a Puppy/Tweeners class pass. What now?

Just show up to class! Your purchase of the puppy class pass entitles you to 4 sessions. You do not need a physical card or pass; just check in at the front desk. These classes are held on a walk-in basis.  We recommend you attend class once a week for 4 consecutive weeks, but it’s ok if you need to skip a week.

Tweeners

This class is for the older puppies (starting the class at 13-20 weeks of age) and covers basic house manners like walking on a loose leash, socialization, coming when called and age appropriate play. Handlers learn responsible dog ownership, develop a positive relationship with their dog and learn leadership skills. Preregistration is not required for Tweeners class and you can start at any time as long as your puppy is 20 weeks or younger at the first class you attend. Simply purchase a Puppy/Tweeners class pass. This entitles you to 4 sessions of Tweeners. We recommend you attend class once a week for 4 consecutive weeks.

Puppy Basic Training is a 7-week beginning obedience class for puppies aged 12 weeks to 10 months. Learn basic commands and develop skills in loose-leash walking, impulse control and more.

Intended for experienced dog handlers, this class helps puppies develop a broad range of skills including what’s taught in basic training as well as retrieve, play, handler focus, body awareness and tricks.
