Ring Confidence

If you’re thinking about Obedience competition or are already competing, this class helps dogs and handlers work on increased confidence and/or focus. This class is geared toward obedience and rally work, but is applicable for agility as well.

Topics include:

• Teach a “on standby” cue for waiting outside the ring and an immediate drive into work upon release
• Focus entering through the ring gates and setting up
• Focus with pressure from judges and stewards such as handing over the leash, dumbbell exchanges and figure 8 posts
• Focus with environmental distractions such as noise, other dogs working, food and toys

Session length: 6 classes
Prerequisite: Advanced Obedience or successful skills evaluation
