Volunteer at your club!

Volunteers are the heart and soul of TCOTC. From setting up for trials or the staffing the front desk to assistant teaching or serving on the board, there is a volunteer opportunity for you. It’s a great way to get involved in your club and learn more about dog training and dog sports. And, in some cases, you can earn free classes!

One-time and ongoing opportunities to volunteer happen year-round. Ask at the front desk or check here often to see what our current needs are.

Current volunteer opportunities:

Agility Course Set-Up Crew: Sunday evenings every other week. Crew meets for 1-2 hours to set up the agility course for the upcoming week of classes. Perks include being able to bring your dog to run the course, and additional ring privileges during non-operating hours.

Ongoing Activities: Monday and Wednesday Days. Help with cleaning, equipment organizing, etc.

Other volunteer opportunities:

  • Trials and Tournaments: assist with set-up and clean-up as well as during the trial
  • Club Maintenance Crew: help with cleaning, painting, minor repairs
  • Publicity and Outreach: help with TCOTC’s marketing and public outreach activities
  • Library: Create/update a catalog of books and materials in TCOTC’s lending library

If you would like to help with these or other club activities, contact Anne Schenk at anneschenk@tcotc.com or ask your instructor next time you are at the club!
