Presented by Dawn Tetrick Wessels, TCOTC Agility Instructor

December 16 and 17, 2017   9:00 am – 5:00 pm

This two-day seminar is designed for the dog handler that has mobility restrictions.  It will explore solutions for participants to increase their successes and maximize their personal enjoyment of working and competing with their dogs.
While the focus will be dog agility, Dawn will share the incredible insights she learned from leading professional coaches and speakers as she recently struggled through the healing process from a severe and debilitating virus. Included will be how she maintained her relationship with her dogs and continued to progress in skill building and goal attainment even when she could barely walk. We will cover adaptive agility skills for dog and handler, and the psychology and physiology that applies to helping handlers with injuries and chronic conditions to reach their own goals. Dawn learned firsthand that distance skills alone were not going to get her back on course, a more holistic approach is needed.

Three levels of participation are offered:  Working, Auditor Plus and Auditor
Those with Working spots will run an evaluation course on Saturday and will work with their dogs on Sunday.  Auditor Plus participants will work with their dogs for part of Sunday only.  Everyone, including auditors, will participate in focus groups and are encouraged to ask questions.
