Dogs and Babies
*THIS IS AN OPEN-ENROLLMENT ONLINE CLASS*
Dogs & Babies is a parent education program for expecting families with dogs. It is designed to help you plan and prepare for baby’s arrival, specifically with your dog(s) in mind. Learn basic dog body language, how to handle the homecoming, critical safety tips and much more. While Dogs & Babies does not take the place of basic obedience training classes nor a childbirth preparation class, it brings the missing elements of each together in one place. Make sure to get off on the right foot, decrease stress and increase harmony in your home by preparing with Dogs & Babies.
Still not sure if this program is right for you? If you live with dogs and are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, a grandparent/aunt/uncle who has infants visit, a childcare provider, a childbirth educator, in the adoption process, or just care about infant & dog issues – this program is applicable and valuable. Even dog experts will be surprised by how much new information they’ll learn!
This class is offered as an open enrollment online course so you can sign up at any time. To sign up, email ashlee@fetchingpetential.com for more information.
Your Instructor:
Ashlee Meyer, VSA-CDT, has been working with dogs and their owners for 2 years. In 2019, she attended and graduated from the Victoria Stilwell Academy receiving her first certification for dog training. In 2020, she began her own training company, Fetching PETential. She has experience working with shy and fearful dogs, rambunctious adolescent dogs, and reactive dogs. Her passion lay in helping kids and their parents learn how to interact safely both with dogs in the home and dogs they meet in public as well as preparing dogs for the change of adding a child to the home.
She currently lives in Apple Valley with her husband, Henry, and two dogs, Adam and Bailey. When she isn’t with dogs, she can be found knitting, being with people, or enjoying a cup of coffee.
