Coronavirus Response

TCOTC to suspend classes starting
Monday, March 16

Club will remain closed until Monday, April 6

March 15, 2020 — Due to the public health emergency presented by the novel coronavirus, TCOTC is suspending all classes for the next three weeks starting Monday, March 16. This includes all obedience, puppy/tweener socialization, agility, flyball, therapy, tracking, freestyle, behavior and nose work classes, as well as all conformation drop-in classes and agility and obedience open ring time.
TCOTC holds safety as a primary value, and we believe this is the best way we can contribute to keeping our members and our community protected from the spread of the virus.
Assuming it is safe and prudent to do so, we will resume classes on Monday, April 6. Whether we resume where we left off, or restart from Week 1, members will not incur any additional fees. We will not be issuing refunds at this time.
We have also canceled our May 8-10 agility trial. In addition, many events held by other groups in our facility have been cancelled or postponed. While we will be updating our online monthly calendar as changes occur, you should contact the organization in charge of the specific event for any details.
During this suspension of activities, our board members and key staff will be meeting by phone twice a week to assess the situation and determine when it is safe and responsible to resume classes. Though our plan is to resume classes by April 6, we will confirm this by email several days beforehand or inform you of any alternate plans.

We will also be looking for ways that we can continue to assist you and your dog in your training outside of class. Look for an email, or follow us on Facebook or Instagram, to receive some tips and tricks to keep your dog learning and engaged.

In the meantime, please follow the CDC recommendations for minimizing risk of contracting or spreading the virus.

Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the club. You can respond to this email, call and leave a message or send a text message to our phone number, 612-379-1332. Thank you for your support and patience as we confront this unique and urgent situation together.
Sincerely,
Anne Schenk
